Elmsford company gets contracts for stadiums

A distributor in Elmsford will provide more than 300,000 bolts to hold seats in place in the new stadiums of the New York Mets and Yankees and football’s Indianapolis Colts. Andis Woodlief, the managing member of Screws and More LLC, said the contacts are worth more than $100,000 combined. She said her company has benefited from its status as a women-owned business because state law requires projects receiving public funding to use women-owned and minority contractors and suppliers. “For a small company like ours, it’s always David against Goliath,” she said. “Now we have a value that the big guys don’t have.” The bolts are made by Power Fasteners Inc. of Brewster.
